Charity Policy

We receive literally thousands of requests for worthwhile causes. In the past it has taken one of our Twiggles a lot of time to respond to each request and decide who to support. So we have decided to support one major charity, and a few causes very local to us in our immediate neighbourhood (at our discretion).

Our chosen charity, Autism Anglia, is a registered charity that promotes the welfare, education and care of children, young people and adults with autism in East Anglia and in doing so, provides support and assistance to their families and carers. They provide a range of services to enable people with autism to live as independently as possible and to experience choice and inclusion in society.

Our clever author, Tom Blofeld, is Vice Chairman of Autism Anglia and thinks that is a fantastic charity!

We will also continue to support any requests that come through on behalf of EACH - East Anglia's Children's Hospices, which is a registered charity that cares for children and young people with life threatening conditions and complex healthcare needs.

If you are not in our immediate neighbourhood (this year it's the NR12 postcode area) we are unable to support you. Please consider this when contacting us as we'd ideally like to put our time and effort into helping our chosen charity rather than sorting through thousands of requests (and it means less paper is used so it saves our trees!)

If you do not receive a response from us within three weeks then unfortunately your request has been unsuccessful.
